Fiber College
What is Fiber College? It's all about doing...and it's more than classes: it's community, sharing and evening events. This is a completely volunteer-driven, learning festival devoted to introducing, maintaining and furthering tradional arts using all forms of fiber. The professional artists who teach these classes offer them at a reduced rate so that you can sample new vistas and share your passions.

Fisherman's Friend Restaurant; with us since 2010
Fishermans Friend Restaurant was established in 1976 by Henry and Susan Bray on School Steet in Stonington Maine. We have 18 Ways To do Lobster for YOU. 1. Steamed: with drawn butter, 2. Broiled: basted with butter, and lightly sprinkled with cracker crumbs. 3. Grilled: on a charbroiler for a smokey flavor, basted with butter, 4. Baked, stuffed: with our traditional crabmeat stuffing, 5. Baked, stuffed: with rich cracker crumbs and butter stuffing, 6. Baked stuffed with the Chef's Special: crab mornay stuffing, 7. Baked stuffed "Fisherman's Style": with shrimp,sea callops, fresh lobster meat, cracker crumbs and butter, 8. Baked stuffed: Seafood Mornay, crab and losbster meat,shrimp and sea scallops with mornay sauce and mozzarella cheese, 9. Lazyman 's: we cook it and shell it for you, then we saute the meat in sweet creamery butter, served over our traditional crabmeat stuffing, 10. Sauteed Lobster Newburg: rich cream sauce with sherry wine - en casserole, 11. Scampi Style: sauteed in garlic butter over rice pilaf or fresh pasta, 12. Alfredo: rich parmesan cream sauce over fresh pasta or rice pilaf, 13. Pomadora: tomato sauce and fresh basil, served over fresh pasta, 14. Champagne Poached: with butter and fresh mushrooms, en casserole, 15. Lemon Butter: fresh lemon juice, white wine, garlic, sweet creamery butter, served over pasta or rice pilaf, 16. Au Gratin: chucks of fresh lobster meat, in rich cream sauce, topped with cracker crumbs, 17. Lobster Pillows: fresh lobster meat wrapped in puff pastry, with cream filling with fresh mushrooms, 18. Lobster Pie: chunks of fresh lobster meat, rich cream sauce, topped with a puff pastry crust.
